1. The "Zero Backend" Commitment

Roam Studio is designed to be completely backend-less. We do not operate our own database for your audio files or personal notes. By default, all technical data (markers, notes, version history) is stored exclusively on your local device.

If you opt-in to cloud sync, this data is also mirrored to your private Dropbox account within a dedicated .roam folder to enable cross-device synchronization.

2. Information We Collect

Personal Data: We do not require an account to use the app. When you connect to Dropbox, you are authenticating directly with Dropbox. We only store your Dropbox OAuth token locally on your device to facilitate the connection.

Audio Data: Your audio files never touch our servers. They are streamed or downloaded directly from Dropbox to your local device.

3. Third-Party Services

Dropbox: By using Roam Studio, you agree to Dropbox's Privacy Policy. We use their API to sync your bounces and store technical metadata.

4. Data Security

Because your data stays in your Dropbox, it is protected by Dropbox's enterprise-grade security. We recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication on your Dropbox account for maximum protection.
